Bold New Beginnings: A Year in Reflection

Reflecting on a year of transformation, clarity, and the courage it takes to begin again.

A Year That Changed Everything

This week, I celebrate my birthday, another year of life, and this one feels deeply meaningful.

Over the past 12 months, I closed a meaningful chapter in my long-standing public service career, navigated an unexpected career shift, and reimagined my business from the ground up. What once felt like an ending became a bold new beginning, rooted in purpose and aligned with my mission to support brilliant professionals, especially women of color, as they navigate their own pivots and power moves.

This year has also been a time of deep realignment for me, focusing on the quiet, sacred work of unbecoming and becoming. I’ve grown as a founder, mother, partner, and woman of faith, but I haven’t walked this path alone.

I have been focusing on the quiet, sacred work of unbecoming and becoming.

The Heart of My Why

I’m honoring my mother today. Her strength, love, and conviction have shaped every bold move I’ve made. I’m also deeply grateful to my father, whose belief in me and heartfelt prayers have covered me in ways I’ll never fully know. Their example has been my rock.

To my incredible sister and best friend, your fierce love, unwavering support, and shared vision have been a light in every chapter. To my husband, our family, and the mentors and friends whose support has carried me forward, thank you. And to my son, my greatest inspiration, you remind me every day why I lead with purpose and heart. You keep me centered, especially when the path feels uncertain.

To my former staff and colleagues, and to everyone who’s checked in, supported my work, sent a referral, offered a kind word, or simply stood with me, thank you. Your support means everything.

Looking Ahead

As I step into this next year of life and leadership, I’m carrying the love you’ve shown, the lessons I’ve learned, and a vision led by faith and grounded in grace.

Today, I’m taking a moment to reflect on how far I’ve come. I hope you’ll find space to honor your own growth, too.

Here’s to bold new beginnings!
